Mannequins wearing clothing by jeans legend Levi’s are sporting white knots in some stores.
The white knot is a symbol that been adopted by the White Knot Campaign for marriage equality. It’s been worn by many celebrities and has become well known following the Prop 8 debate in California.
Now the white knot is appearing on Levi mannequins in New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco stores. There’s no conspicuous material regarding White Knot in the stores, however employees have been briefed so that they can discuss it with customers.
The Levi Strauss Foundation has previously supported gay rights and donated money to opponents of Prop 8.
